I love the concept, I love the illustrations and how Mackesy changed up the style here and there. It's a wonderful foray into picture books for adults and certainly a gap in the market which I think could be beautifully expanded. The writing itself is cute but maybe a little bit too much like inspirational quotes just being spat out. I think I would have liked it more if there were a more coherent storyline, even if the inspirational quotes were knitted in better and less obviously didactic!
