A beautiful book that compresses so many themes and so much atmosphere into such a short amount of pages.

It felt Irish in its essence, yet was told through a lens that felt universal.

If I made a film comparison, I would say it felt like an Irish version of a Ken Loach film.

Learning about the Magdalene Laundries for the first time in this way was also very interesting.
