never misses

Loved it back in 2013, sixth grade, loved it now. It's funny, quick, captivating. The pacing is good, and the foreshadowing is REAL. It may be a little trashy/dumb, but even having expectations didn't ruin my reading. I also liked the fact that most of the historical details were correct. One thing that was a little annoying is that everything happens in a span of three days, which is just insane, especially if we're talking about Gwendolyn and Gideon's relationship.
That is all. I read half or the book today and jumped straight to the second one.

This was fun! The writing style reminded me of Meg Cabot or Sophie Kinsella-very readable. My only lament is that not very much happened, I feel. I kept looking at how many pages were left, thinking, "surely, this is a sequel" and sure enough, it was. The romance was a bit whirlwindy, but at least that is open to interpretation
Spoiler I assume Gideon is Trustworthy, but Gwen's mom DID say "trust no one" so maybe he's a baddie and that's why he's all going in for the kiss all of the sudden?
. That being said, I'll totally be back for the next installment.
