I adored this book so much, it was so sweet and wholesome I am obsessed. I just wanted more and more from this book because it was so sweet and cute. I loved seeing Clara explore her sexuality and both them going deeper in their relationship. It was so sweet to see Clara help Evan feel safe in her home town again. The epilogue was the absolute sweetest thing I have ever read.

Neurodivergent best friends, Clara who is a photographer with ADHD and Evan, the autistic school teacher, team up to fake date. Evan needs a date to show off in front of her ex and Clara needs a girlfriend to take to her new jobs Christmas party because her boss thinks she is a lesbian. Clara has always through she was straight but after she kisses her best friend she is now questioning everything.

The world may never know why one of the four books I read in April was a christmas book but oh well. I did enjoy this one. For a novella I thought there was a large percentage of it being spice and that may work better for other readers than it did for me, but I still enjoyed it!! Highly recommend for a quick festive story but maybe read it in December (or when it's actually cold outside).

My demisexual heart was full after reading this one... even if it's always heartbreaking to read about teens being kicked out of their house when they come out. This book also briefly touches upon the lingering effects of that particular trauma. Other than that it was very cute!
