Missed the Deucalion staff in this book due to most being set in with the darlings in the silver district 😭

The strongest entry in the series to date. Superbly constructed, emotionally intelligent, and completely endearing.
Moderate: Death of parent, Murder, Classism
Morrigan does a murder mystery among the monied! Reminded me a little bit of Flavia de Luce? Something about young girl detectives? I rolled my eyes at the premise— people who have one misunderstanding and then refuse to talk about it setting up the whole book is one of my least favorite tropes in romance books, but while Jessica Townsend’s setting are quite fantastical, she does right by me in grounding the relationships and motivations of the characters in believable ways. I enjoyed the small redemption of last book’s nemesis, and Morrigan’s little gang also grew into their powers in satisfying ways. I did miss the Hotel tho!
