Heartfelt romance. Can’t remember anything now. Just that I had a great time.

This may be my favorite Emily Henry book! It took me way too many years to finally read it! I was not expecting it to be this good. All i can say is the letters….i am glad she found them at least, but i wish it had been sooner for her sake.

“I don’t need snowflakes, I just need January”
This book made me think of Anne of Green Gables.

Emily Henry has my heart.

Got this one to read at the beach, didn't actually read it at the beach. One of the more forgettable rom coms I've read, but still enjoyable.

2.5 stars - it was just a touch too long, and something felt awkward about the book. The characters drank too much, and while I found the dialogue funny at times, most of it felt...flat? The audiobook author made it engaging. I like Emily Henry as a writer and think her other novels are better. I did, however, cry a bunch during the last 7% of the book, so make of that what you will.

Augustus Everett.

I got the kindle version of this book because I kept seeing it pop up in the reviews as a good book to read, and I’m glad that I did. It’s about a man who doesn’t believe in happy ever after, and a woman who always did but is trying to remember why after confronting something that rocks her world. Now as this is a romance, we obviously know what is going to happen, with an appropriate amount of angst involved, but there was a surprising amount of depth to the book. I enjoyed the idea that 2 writers, each struggling to write, decide to swap genres, and some of the scenes were heartbreakingly cute. Overall a really enjoyable light summer read!
