This is different to what I expected - which isn’t a bad thing.

For a book published in 1995 this book is dark, twisted, full of surprises and a lot of difficult human topics handled very well for the universe it is set in.

There were slow bits yes and I still love the musical more but I’m glad to have read what the musical is loosely based upon.

Now. For the future. I will read the sequel. It’s rare when book ends its last sentence with a WTF moment in a genuine WTF moment… also… I just don’t know what to expect in the upcoming film!
