It was definitely hard to follow on audio with all the names of gods and families. The story seemed to drag

Great read that completely submerges you into the story! You feel like you’re a character on the journey with everyone in the story. Didn’t expect there to be any plot twists, let alone these great ones. Author did an excellent job at maintaining the theme without making it feel repetitive.

The book had a good concept that could have been executed better. A convoluted story line that resulted in a very rushed ending, where the stakes didn’t seem high enough. I would have preferred a duology, where more of the characters backstories and the lore ( see what I did there?) of the ‘ Aegon’ was explored and explained more thoroughly. But due to the time sensitive nature of the plot I understand why it is a stand alone. Still a gripping and interesting read.
3.5 stars. Extra half a star a because I’m a sucker for anything Greek mythology related.

2.5
Sufrí y no en el buen sentido precisamente

i don’t know. like it was good? it definitely wasn’t bad. but with how cool the concept was i feel like could’ve been much better?? i still enjoyed reading it, just felt a little mediocre about it :/

I have always enjoyed Greek Mythology which drew me to this book, but I was very disappointed. This book felt extremely slow to me. There were some reveals that happened that were a bit surprising, but also some that you felt coming and weren’t shocked by. I felt like I kept missing something that the characters were finally understanding and I’m not sure if that was bad writing or if I was over the book and didn’t seem to care. The ending was just abrupt and felt meaningless.
