Definitely hits you with the trauma p*rn about 3/4 the way through. Just not my kinda trope.
I like an age gap romance so really wanted to like this one, but the end of the book really killed it for me. Too much melodrama jammed into too few pages. Also, I struggle with YA because the characters (19 yr old girl in this case) are so immature. It's age appropriate of course but not my age bracket, so perhaps better suited to younger readers.
Still reeling from that ending. I couldn’t believe it.
