Different to the type of thing I usually read, definitely read it a bit slower so I could properly take it in and still feel like I'd be confused how much I missed if I were to read it again.

Very easy to read despite the heavy and complex topics. I loved the semi-autobiographical element and the switch between the story of Jeanette and the myths and fables she was telling herself to understand her feelings. A classic for an excellent reason I think, highly recommend everyone to read.

Heel mooi geschreven, maar van een deel van het boek snapte ik niet heel veel. Ik denk dat het wel zo'n boek is dat je meer gaat waarderen als je het meerdere keren leest (en als je iets meer weet over de bijbel dan ik)
