delightful!

It was a slow read for me. I usually listen to the classic, I seem to get more out of them or understand them better like that. Not bad, but I’m probably not picking up any of his other works.

Light-hearted and witty, but with something to say on the autonomy and liberty of women. Fantastic. Makes me want to read more Forster!!

It's a light read. The characterisation was well done and I certainly felt I could tell who the characters were even with such a short page count. I enjoyed the commentary of the narrative, particularly the way Italy is presented and the setting of scenery; I found that particularly charming.

I did, however, have a little trouble getting into this one. It felt a bit predictable in it's plot but it was endearing in it's descriptions, even if the protagonist was in near terminal denial until the last 10 or so pages.
