Good repairman Jack book. Brings the previous 2 books into this one as a tie in. It is ok to read this one as a stand alone but it makes more sense to read the previous books first.

Loved it.
Liked reading about all the conspiracies, and Wilson's whole over arching adveserial cycle tying most of the conspiracies together.

I didn't enjoy this novel nearly as much as Legacies, but it's well written and Repairman Jack is still a fun hero to follow. I'm not a fan of the conspiracy theory genre and while Wilson's take on this community is both skeptical and compassionate, the setting made it hard for me to become deeply invested. Even more, the fact that the primary opponent in this novel is on the fringe side of things made it harder for me to get into the novel. Yes, I know that Jack's whole niche is in the horror meets sci-fi meets thriller market, but I much prefer Jack when he's facing down real-life evils, as he does in Legacies and in the prequels to the series. This is a personal preference, though, and as most of Wilson's audience comes via the horror genre, I suspect they will find this novel far more enjoyable than did I. Regardless of my affinity for this particular story, I fully intend to read the next Repairman Jack novel in the near future. Wilson is a skilled writer and even at his worst remains entertaining.

Hands down my favorite in the Repairman Jack series, Conspiracies takes place in the midst of a massive conspiracy theory convention. Every major theory and many of their offshoots are contained in this book. Each has its own sect of followers and they clash just as often as you might think. There is even one paramilitary fellow that manages to catch Jack out.

Pure fun to read, by turns hilarious and creepy.

Whoa... Repairman Jack is X-Files meets Punisher with some Tesla for seasoning. I couldn't put this one down. The only thing that would make this series more crafted toward me specifically is if Jack somehow got a kitten as a familiar.

P.S. Even better the second time around.

The third in the Repairman Jack series. To this point in the series the stories have been somewhat self-contained. You could read either book 1 or 2 without missing out on much. There are repeat characters with development, but the stories work on their own. That looks to be ending with book 3. There are a number of references to the first book in the series here and the ending hints at a continued storyline that will preclude random order reading.

Overall I enjoyed the book. The pace was a bit slow compared to the previous two novels, but the hints at tying together the stories with an overarching plot line kept the story moving at an acceptable pace. Looking forward to the next two books in the series, courtesy of my local used bookstore!
