The book was predictable but I enjoyed it for the light-hearted romance that it was. I loved the main characters and their dynamic with each other

Didn’t want to put it down. Super cheesy and cute. I loved the chemistry between the FMC and MMC.

I haven’t read a Christina Lauren I’ve enjoyed this much in a while (since The Unhoneymooners in fact - I’ve read a lot of reviews saying that no CL book has lived up to The Unhoneymooners since, and I was also in that camp until now.) I loved the female lead - she was refreshing, funny, and relatable. I read this on my kindle and had 77 highlights, which was me being conservative with my highlighting so that should say enough.
I enjoyed the female main character’s perspective as a best-selling romance novelist, and felt we were getting snippets of CL’s thoughts on being best-selling romance novelists themselves without feeling too clichéd or like they were trying to push an underlying narrative. There was a quote from the male main character that I loved about writing romance: “Seems it’s pretty hard to write a compelling book when the reader already knows how it ends.” Ironically, that being said, I did start to get restless towards the end, knowing the ending and wanting it to just happen already. Regardless, this had all of the smart banter, sexual tension, and emotional connection that I could want.
