I enjoyed watching the relationship between Cade and Selena start to flourish. As a recently new member of the LGBT+ community, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Cade's inner monologues as she worked through her thoughts of self-worth, belonging, and self-esteem; her reflections were relatable. My only disappointment came from the slow progression of the plot and characters. Overall, I'll recommend this to readers of quirky f/f romances!

meh mehity meh. fell flat. did not enjoy. would not recommend.

also the cover image doesn't match one of the characters at all. can't even get that right. it makes it seem like two business gals not a business gal and a free spirit hippie type

This is a cute story with a great start and lots of fun, flirty moments. A+ for Selena’s friend group, which I love. The pacing, though, was weird and it really ground to a halt toward the end. Also, while the ending made sense, it doesn’t really align with the rest of the book and what you think the characters’ goals are, so it was ultimately pretty unsatisfying. Ironic!

LAUGH OUT LOUD HILARIOUS. I loved this book from chapter 1. Selena's accidental (maybe?) sharing of Cade's aunt's clit's name at the funeral really sets the tone for the rest of the book. I loved Cade and Selena's personality balance, their slow and steady building attraction, and both of their struggles to feel worthy of the other's love.

My only (minor) complaint is that Cade should have probably struggled a BIT more to have her first orgasm. I mean, come on, after a lifelong drought, she nails it the first time? Bah.

I felt good about the end, but it also feels like it wrapped so quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

i absolutely loved this book!

the story follows two women: cade and selena. cade is responsible, professional, logical, the embodiment of “has her shit together.” selena, on the other hand, takes life one day at a time, is adventurous, and definitely doesn’t plan ahead. when cade’s aunt ruth, who just so happens to be a motherly figure for selena, passes away, cade and selena inherit her bankrupt sex toy store as a project to fix together. along the way, they begin to heal more than just the store.

i found the romance to be sweet, shy, bold, compassionate, unsure, and tender all at once. outwardly, selena’s confidence intimidates cade; however, internally selena is unsure of herself and desperately afraid of messing things up with cade. i loved the themes that emerged from this trope: 1) a person’s outward image can hide their deepest insecurities and 2) comparing yourself to others’ outward image is to compare your whole self to only a facet of who they are.

i would highly recommend!
