3: an enjoyable read but I didn’t find the characters very compelling

I wanted to like this book more than I did. Always glad to see a contemporary sapphic romcom, but I just didn’t feel hooked on these characters.

I love a good trope, but the uptight business woman who has never has an orgasm was just too much. Coupled with the flighty sex shop worker who is trying so hard to abstain… it went too far in the predictable archetyping.

Still, the book was pleasant and fun!

 ute premise but the characters felt a bit flat to me, and the story ended up a bit repetitive. I also agree with another reviewer's assertion that one can only mention genitals so often before it starts to feel heavy-handed and normative, especially given the context. Sex education is important, don't get me wrong, but I don't want my romance reads to be didactic either
