Of the three I've read so far this one was my least favorite, in part because it didn't have the same wit as the first two, and in part because it didn't feel like the plot moved forward as much, the main evil guy is getting to be cartoonishly bad which isn't nessassarly bad but it made this book a little less exciting to read.

I started the forth in the series and do plan on finishing it.

These are great books to have a quick fun read, sort of like popcorn.

This was my least favorite so far, and I have a feeling the next will be along a similar vein. Authors tend to take characters who don't have the perceived strengths needed in the world (i.e. phoenix without a ton of abilities etc) and present them in a weak way. I personally felt that way about this pairing, and I'm worried it will be even more present in Angelica's book.

I didn’t LOVE it like I did the second book but omg was it amazing. The continuous plot in all books, seeing the clans slowly come together has been fascinating.
Knowing that this entire time MAUL was their FATHER in his spirit form was a mind blow I wasn’t prepared for.

Samael and Meira also fell pretty fast, but knowing that all of these couples are “fated mates” makes this fact easier to understand. Their dynamic didn’t stick out to me as much as Ladon and Skylar but I think that’s partially why I like the second book better. Besides the point, the two MCs went through one hell of a rollercoaster.

Angelika and Airk’s book is next, and I’m excited to see this wrapped up but I’m a little nervous about how their dynamic will play out,
seeing as she propositioned him in the epilogue. I hope it’s not just out of “I’m the last one unmated”.
