I LOVE the shape series by Mac Barnett! It is a story time favorite.
In this installment Circle, Triangle, and Square play hide and seek. They have a short adventure behind the waterfall.
I really like how it encourages children to use their imagination and helps to engage in conversation.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read for an honest review.

I felt like this book was too short by a page or two
Spoilerand I'm a little sad that it ended on a cliffhanger(if that's what it could be called)- I did really like the idea behind the ending though
. I really liked everything else about this book, and I think it's formatted in a way that would make it a fairly entertaining read for storytime.

These books are beautifully illustrated and tell a wonderful little story. It is amazing how the authors were able to capture such humor in such simple stories. I absolutely delighted in reading these; I think these would be enjoyable for kids and adults to read over and over.

This is the third book in the Shapes series. I like Circle a lot--she's spunky and brave. Readers have gotten to know the shapes through the last two books and it's fun to finally see them all interacting together. (It's the first book with all 3 of them.) I wish the ending wasn't so obscure--it could have even been resolved in the end papers. It makes it feel a little unfinished to me.

For: readers looking for a cute book featuring shapes and shape recognition; readers looking for a book with some mystery and adventure.

Possible red flags: characters in peril; darkness/being afraid of the dark.
