Petunia was the best part and I cried at her ending
The writing could’ve been deeper/more explorative for the reader. Marriage wasn’t discussed, felt like she was holding back a little in details of other relationships and their issues I expected more for such a strong title
But I liked her honesty in discussions on therapy and the group hospital

I think this book is beautifully written. It is art. I also appreciate the authors acknowledgment of her privileged perspective. I can genuinely say that this life story has helped me reflect and feel “less crazy” for some of my actions than I did before having encountered the text. Bravo.

I found this book an incredibly interesting read. I am gonna be so honest I picked this book up because I do like John Mulaney's comedy and I was interested to see what she revealed in this book but honestly I think her not really discussing him throughout the book was a really good decision because it made me more interested in her story because obviously she as a person had more to discuss than her very public divorce which I respected. I am not sure how I feel about her after reading this book, obviously I don’t know her at all, but I found her choice of stories to share interesting because they showcased her dependence on men not only financially but emotionally as well throughout her life. I respected how open she was and I think her story will reside with a lot of other women as well as they work to find their identity outside of their relationships.
