Wow! This book was amazing. The Dead of Winter is Caden's story. He relives what happened with the accident in the first book. (These are not a stand alone books). Caden gets his heart broken when his girlfriend, Peyton, doesn't remember what caused the accident. He has no choice but to move on. This series is extremely realistic, it's crazy. These authors did awesome with it.

All I can say is....plot twist ;)

I just finished reading The Dead of Winter. All I can say is wow! This book took so many unexpected turns. Some relationships end and new ones begun. Again we are left with a bit of a cliff hanger. I can’t wait to read book three so I can see what happens next.

Another hit! Highly recommend reading the first book prior to this one to get the full depth of the story. This book focuses on Caden and his struggles. So many twists and so much angst! The authors really hit all the feels, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

The Dead of Winter by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice is a continuation of a group of young adults/ kids from When Fall Breaks. It follows the consequences of actions that were taken in the first book.

Again, like in When Fall Breaks – our authors do not disappoint the reader. They have done a fabulous job in keeping and maintaining the world that they had originally built, and if possible – making more of it. As for the characters - I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more of the characters and what they were really like.

The journey that we are led through is amazing, and one that is unforgettable. I love being able to lose myself while reading – and am glad that I was able to do so with this one. I definitely consider this a 5 Star Book, as I am looking forward to continuing my journey with these characters and authors alike.

**Update Feb 26, 2018**
Did a re-read again with a buddy and I still enjoyed the story. Am looking forward to new release from these authors.

Emotionally charged 5 *

I strongly recommend reading book one-When Fall Breaks- because The Dead of Winter drops you from the cliffhanger of book 1 that you've been suspended on.

The authors weave a story so well of the consequences of underage drinking and the reality of PTSD and move the characters forward into new chances and finding strength to carry on. I love the characters and the emotions evoked while the group transitions through life after a shattering experience.

The Dead of Winter kept me in suspense and leaves the reader hanging AGAIN! The cliff is there but it is not near as gut- wrenching as When Fall Breaks, I can't wait to read more and look forward to the ride! I am not usually a YA genre reader, but so glad I've read them. This series is for everyone, the issues these young adults face are non-discriminatory.

This book picks up after the MAJOR cliffhanger of When Fall Breaks. In this book we see through the eyes of Caden, Kaitlyn's twin brother. How things are affecting him after the traumatic events of the Fall. This book deals with PTSD and provides a well thought out look at a mental health issues that needs to be discussed openly and honestly. Another bit of a cliffhanger but nothing like the first book even if it leaves you wanting to know more. I can hope that there will be another book, maybe from Jenna's POV???

The Dead of Winter

This book almost broke me! After reading and loving book 1 I didn’t honestly think the writing of these two authors could get any better but it has! It really has! This book was so emotional; honestly these authors did a phenomenal job with this second book in the series. Again I couldn’t even tell that the story was written by joint authors, the chapters and words flow seamlessly and it really is such a beautiful story. I will say that it really does need to be read after the first book as it continues after that huge cliff-hanger!
All of the characters were fantastic and there were so many times that I was almost in tears with everything that they went through. Caden, oh my gosh, my heart just broke for him! I wanted to jump into my kindle just to give him the biggest hug ever! Not only did we have the group trying to move on from everything that happened but also the twists and turns of new events that popped up! This story certainly kept me on my toes!
I am super excited to read the next book in the series and highly recommend this book and the series so far!

The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson Book 2) Julie Solano and Tracy Justice continues where When Fall Breaks. I highly suggest you read book 1 because there are references made from the first story. This book is about a group of teenagers that we got to meet in the first story. One of the many things I like about these authors is the fact that they have built and are continuing to build with this installment. The authors have hit home with several situations that are plaguing our teens and do it in a way that is real and it could happen to you or your friends. I would consider to leave enough time to read through the book to the next cliffhanger that will lead into book 3.

This is the second book in their series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first book. I recommend you read the first book before this one to help enrich this series. The story is told in the perceptive of three characters, the transition between them is easy to understand. I enjoy how these authors are able to pull me right into the story with ease. This story will show you how easy it is for life to turn you inside out without even looking back. I highly suggest this page turner.
