I did the audio and followed along with the book on this one. Loved the story, it was dark and twisted and unhinged the right amount. The whole story kept me wanting to read more. This is only the second book by Rina Kent that I have read, but I haven't been let down yet!

At first I was scared, I’ve never read anything like this & I had to sit in my thoughts for a while. But afterwards I was full on invested & felt like an addict wanting more of this book. I just absolutely loved it. A very powerful “I’ll burn anyone for her” 😍

I’m sorry RK but this book was not it for me.
The mmc literally BACKHANDS, full on slaps the fmc across the face early on. I can handle dark content but that just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Like what kind of icky behaviour is that? I fear that skewed my perception of the mmc too early and I couldn’t move past it.
This really felt like RK tried to recycle some of her other mmc’s and slap a “hockey” label on him to make him feel different.
The romance?? It was no where to be seen, this was completely lust driven for at least 80% of this book.
Will I still read the next book in this series? Yes, because Rina’s books can very much be hit or miss. This one was a BIG miss for me.
