One of my favorite Rina books! Loved the flow and the trust and healing that happened between Kane and Dahlia. Amazing plot twists especially at the end. (Read TWs.)

Beautiful Venom was the perfect book for my reading slump. There was a good mix of spice and plot, so it kept me interested the whole time. And even though it's almost 500 pages, I was flying through it.
I loved the chemistry between Kane and Dahlia. From the minute they meet, you know they have it. The spicy scenes were so good, especially the initiation scene and the garden scene. Whew. So hot. And while they're not each other's equals in the public's eyes, they definitely are. They're both formidable and strong-willed. I loved how she would sass Kane, and even give him the cold shoulder.
I did not see the twist about Violet coming. But I am excited to see what happens with that storyline next because I feel like we didn't really get a resolution to the story, even with two epilogues. Which is fine since I know we're getting at least two more books.
Other things I liked about Beautiful Venom:
- Dual POV
- The teasing we get for books 2 and 3 in this series
A couple other things that stood out to me. Sometimes the dialogue seemed a bit too formal for college kids. And other times, the character's actions didn't really line up with how they were throughout the rest of the book. But overall, I was still engrossed in Beautiful Venom from beginning to end.

I am a bit obsessed with this new series and as I was reading the book I was instantly craving the next two. Like, the bits we got from those other characters made me go feral, and I need their story now! That's the power of Rina Kent here and why it is always worth reading in order (coming from me, it says A LOT), the anticipation she creates for these stories is unparalleled.
The premise of this story was so good, and I love how it kept me on the edge of my seat till the very end. It was dark, intense and very addictive but also had a softer side with how the relationship between our main characters ended up evolving. Don't get me wrong, this isn't the lovey-dovey romance, but I love myself a protective stalker being oh so patient and opening up.
Dahlia was a fantastic protagonist, and she was easy to care for. I loooooved seeing Kane slowly losing the control he was so sure he had on everything. Cold and stoic characters starting to show emotions are truly the best. The way Dahlia made his walls crumble was absolutely delicious. She stepped up for what she wanted, and she didn't back down, you go girl.
Kane & Dahlia both had a very harsh background story and it added an emotional deepth to their characters for sure. The friendship between the guys was, as always with Rina Kent's books, very delightful. They have banter and care for one other through all their shit, which is the best. Also really liked Dahlia and her sister's relationship. Made it easy to get where Dahlia was coming from in wanting to do what she had planned to do.
All in all, a must-read for any fan of dark romance, I couldn't put this one down, and I cannot wait for the next book!
Huge thanks to Raincoast Books and Bloom Books for my copy. All opinions are my own.
