I ate this book UPPPPP! My girl Rina NEVER disappoints. I really enjoyed this book and was super excited to read more about Kane after meeting him in KTV (I miss you so much Gaz).
Kane is such an intriguing character, and it really breaks my heart to know the type of abuse he has suffered since he was a child. It shaped every part of who he is and is the reason for the facade he tried to keep. I loved him and thought he was such a fun character (obviously not literally considering how serious he is most of the time, but his personality and demeanor were super fun to read about). I loved his dynamic with Preston and Jude; they are a fucked-up family and that always pulls on my heart strings.
Dahlia is such a badass and I really loved her. She is strong and determined, she takes Kane's shit and gives it right back to him. I really enjoyed their dynamic as well and am so happy they have each other.
NOW, I KNEW that Preston was going to be infatuated with Marcus, and I am STOKED to read about that. BUT I am even more stoked to read about Jude and Vi, like???? I needed Sweet Venom LIKE YESTERDAY. Jude is yummy (after Kane of course) and I am super intrigued by him.
Marcus is also very interesting, and I am so excited to see more of him, even if he is a little crazy which is why him and Preston are END GAME.
5/5⭐

Dahlia, left me with mixed feelings. Putting simply: I don’t like her. Period.
The biggest weak spot, though, was the secret society itself. For a group meant to be nearly impossible to track, Dahlia’s rapid discovery of it stretched believability. The logistics behind her investigation felt underdeveloped. She is a nobody, but somehow she is the best investigator ever and in just 45 days discovered everything about Vencor!?

This one was way dark. What Kaden went through and his mom were heavy. But Dahlia was the person that brought them both back in many ways. The heat and intensity between Dahlia and Kaden was so good. I loved that she knew just how and when to push him. And I also loved how determined he was to keep her. I can’t wait for the next two books!
