Sage is entrusted with king's faith as she represents the kingdom in peace negotiations with their hostile southern neighbor. She sets up a backdoor conference with the queen that ends with an assassination attempt. As she and the queen work their way back to the negotiations, more deaths occur as the assassin remains at large.
I am SAD this series is over.
I was scared starting this book that it would suffer from the same lag at the beginning that book 2 had. This wasn’t the case, and I felt like there was a lot more going on. I really appreciated the way they portrayed Sage’s PTSD and even incorporated it into the plot in a way that felt very real.
I did slump a little in the middle. There’s a lot of diplomacy and I’m not sure if it was confusing or if I just wasn’t paying enough attention and lost my way.
Either way, it was a beautiful end to a beautiful series.

*1.5/5 Stars* (Rounded up to honor the earlier books) for failing to live up to Beaty's skill and regressive character growth

I honestly loved this series.
It was an easy and captivating read! I couldn't put it down and loved the pacing. Erin Beatty did an excellent job at making characters that were lovable, having amazing interrelationships amongst them, and overall just write a good book!

This was an amazing conclusion to a well written and captivating series. I usually dislike final books but this on me was really good. It has been a couple of days since I finished it and I’m still thinking about this series.
This series has a lot of interesting and well written political maneuverings, while also showing a cute romance that I will think about for a long time. I think what I liked most about Sage and Alex’s relationship is that it felt real. I loved every part of it.
Defined recommend this series.

This Trilogy was amazing. Had many twist and turns. Wonderful romance. Great Friendships and a beautiful world to get invested in.
