I really like this trilogy, this final instalment wasn't as good as the previous two in my opinion but I enjoyed it non the less. There was a point at which pretty much every character annoyed me because of the stupid decisions they were making. From the good guys, Claire was definitely the character I did not like in this book the most. My only problem was that the plot twist was VERY VERY predictable. I knew this character would be the little backstabbing b***h since we got to first meet them. But it was a fun book and I am happy about the ending.

This book took me a while to read but I really enjoyed it. I got in a bit of a reading slump in the middle and I was a little uninterested with the whole back and forth. I also was bored that Sage and Alex were separated across the country. The end made the entire reading slump 100% worth it. With 20 chapters left I just couldn’t put the book down. It gave a good conclusion to a series and a satisfying place for readers invested in Alex and Sage to stop and not be worried.

This was such a great series!! Loved all of the characters... although, in this book, half of the time i hated Sage and the other half I hated Clare. Other than their friendship being really annoying throughout the whole book, loved it all. I cried, literally sobbed, every time Luke Gramwell was mentioned (even though I knew barely anything about him, other than the fact that he and Clare loved each other and Sage felt guilty about his death). AND CASSECK AND LANI AHHHHHH I'm obsessed with them together!!! I always loved Casseck so the fact that he is in a relationship makes me so happy. I loved the plot in this book as well. All the events with the Kimisar, Casmuni, and Demora were great. The characters Zoraya and Huzar were great addditions to an already amazing list of characters. Loved the ending too. It was a little predictable, but I could care less, I was smiling the whole time.

Not my favorite in the series, but still good.

3.5 stars.

This was overall really good but it had a rather slow beginning. Also, I thought the plot lacked a bit of originality (another assassination attempt?!) and the truth/"plot twist" was predictable? (I had guessed who was behind it very early on).
But! I still really enjoyed this. The political and army sides of the book were (once again) my favourites and the romance was (once again) a great bonus.
