This book has a lot of problems. That being said I had a fun time reading it so I am willing to look past those flaws. Kitty was witty and probably a little to with it to be "real" but I liked her sense of humor and wanted to read more about her. The aliens are just human enough that you don't really remember they're aliens until they do some kind of cool super power thing. I survived the weather warden series so I'm pretty sure I'll have a good time reading this series.
This was recommended to me in a Pick It For Me Challenge, and while it is not something I would normally read for myself, I went ahead and read it anyway. Boy, am I glad I did! I loved it!!! It had me laughing out loud quite a bit, and the action was non-stop! I really enjoyed this one and loved the romance angle of it too. Will definitely pick this up and the others in the series!
While I find each book in the series to be better than the previous one, this is where it all began. I love these characters. I enjoy going back to re-read and pick out details that mean so much more now that the series is 16 books or so long. This is my favorite series of all time - the one I re-read with regularity, especially when I need to pick up a book I know I am going to love. (Some mature content.)
Ew. The way the main male character treats the main female character is super gross. Don't care enough about the fun premise to push past that.
LOVED this book!!!! Aliens, humor, romance, WOOO! Yes, there are some pretty graphic sex scenes so please don't let your children read it...but WOW, HOT...MORE PLEASE!!!! LOL!!!
I was a bit hestitant about this one as I had read some less than glowing reviews but I loved it. I loved the humour and sense of ridiculous that permeats the story. I really enjoyed Kitty's parents as well. The only thing I had trouble with was Christopher's behaviour. I don't understand why he so mean to Kitty from the beginning especially given his reason. She wasn't actually with Jeff romantically til later.
If you read as much as I do sometimes you get bored and need something different. This book brought out my inner sci fi geek. Just what I needed for a change. Lots of action and a kick ass heroine.
In Touched by an Alien, Katherine, known as 'Kitty', is walking out of the courthouse where she did jury duty to find her life flipped upside down. What starts out as a fender bender ends with Katherine being pulled out of a war zone after one of the victims turns into some kind of superhuman. Turns out aliens have been on this planet for some time, trying to stop an alien parasitic race from overtaking planet Earth. Katherine is invited to join them and a certain member of their alien organization takes a certain interest in her too.
Sounds like a lot of fun right? In the writing... not so much. I thought the beginning was interesting but right from the get-go after the alien men take Kitty away it's ONE BIG INFO DUMP. I was on page 50 and they finally sort of ended the big info dump about themselves but then it launched into yet another big info dump. And not only that, Jeff Martini, whom I'm assuming to be her love interest, from the beginning is non stop asking to sleep with Katherine or to marry him. And not even in a big male alpha kind of way, more like he just interjects it into the conversation every 5 seconds like a broken record. Perhaps it gets better later but once I put it down I had no desire to pick it back up again.

Evil space "jelly fish" and proof that the pen is mightier than perhaps a SCUD missile. Fun and feisty. Love the whole series!
