I had a hard time connecting with the characters. Even at 50% I just didn’t feel the love.

Pretty solid first book, wish the ending were less anticlimactic and really could’ve done without the gender essentialism dressed up in “girl power”

I LOVED THIS BOOK.
The main character, Katsa, was powerful and a super tough female character. However, she was also very realistic. She cried when she needed to, which was pretty often, but it was never annoying or over the top.
Also, the main love interest is GOALS because he supported her and strengthened her.
