I had a difficult time staying interested in this one. It definitely wasn’t boring, there’s a lot of great descriptive detail and the premise is neat, but it was hard to follow exactly what the mystery aspect was and I couldn’t get a good grasp on how the magic in this world worked. I think it was just a bit too abstract for me.

The cool premise is not enough to keep me interested when the characters don't hook me. And the story seems to be moving away from the stuff that made me want to read it in the first place. Less understanding the crazy setting, more survival and evil corporate structure.
