I really enjoyed this book! Way more than the first one tbh and I’m looking forward to the third. It picked up a lot and I loved the depictions of Hell and the descents. Bardugo has me hooked on the storyline!
adventurous slow-paced

Do I like these characters? Idk
Is this romance or do they just talk about erections?
I don’t give a crap about Galaxy’s drug past.

Idk yall. I’ll probably read the r third installment but 💁🏻‍♀️

this worked well as a sequel. it kept a lot of the same magic from the first one, and added some interesting new aspects. the climax wasn’t great for me just bc i hate dream sequences vehemently. i honestly do not give a fuck about darlington and he is far too horny on the main for me. i’m interested to see where this series goes but i’m not completely sold on it. the first one was definitely better :/

Leigh Bardugo does duologies and intense complicated fucked-up deeply devoted relationships like no other.

It took me a very long time to get through this book and I can't really determine why. It's heavy, dark stuff and I could only take it in small doses. That's generally not a problem for me, but it was with this. I don't think that's any reflection of the book not being amazing but more a reflection of my mental state. Regardless, I finally finished and it was worth it! As was Ninth House, Hell Bent is all the things! Can't wait for the next one.

I didn’t love this quite as much as the first (maybe a bit too much Hell and maybe could have been 100 pages shorter) but it’s a fun fall read.
