Good added complexity to this in book 2. Still heavy on the spice and romance (see my review of book 1).

Writing is less cringe than the first

This book is SO darn good. I was expecting this series to be a fun, spicy read, with a decent plot... but its is so funny, definitely spicy, but the plot and characters are absolutely phenomenal. I adore Finley, she is one of my favourite FMC I've read. This book made me feel allllllll the emotions and I absolutely sobbed through the ending. I am slowly trying to get started on the next book. Its been a while since I've felt this much reading and I've missed it! Highly recommend the series if you're good with high spice level.

lots of crazy hot sex

I feel like this book was mostly sex scenes. Granted hot crazy wild wonderful sex scenes but I feel like it was mostly hmm almost filler. If you take out a few sex scenes and moved the story along faster the book could have ended sooner but it was still fantastic and I need to start the next one to see how the story evolves from here. Would still recommend for sure and this book does have the longest sex scene I’ve ever read so there’s that. 5 stars

NYFAIN. YOU ARE KILLING ME. That letter at the end. My heart is hurting so much. I can't wait to start the next one now. I love them so much.

is this peak literature? no

but is it funny, hot, and did the ending actually make me a little sad?? absolutely

confusion

Confused. That is my only emotion toward this installment. Not the ending, that was obvious. There was definitely an outcome wanted (what I had expected to be done in the first book), but the way we got there was so roundabout and made no sense. Conversations derailed and were incredibly random to what was going on at that point in the book, there was no plot except for maybe 10% of the book, and it somehow got more juvenile than the last one. I’ve got to take a break before returning to this series, because at least this series is

The writing was awful, the story wasn’t progressing. Unnecessary smut in between? Tension was gone once the smut started in book 1.
