I can't tell you how sad I am that I hated this book. I loved the first one so much. I almost didn't finish this one, but I kept thinking that it had to get better. Nope. So dark. Pitch black. I love dark romance. Nothing was triggering for me, but I was disgusted at the amount of abuse. Every character I met in this book was just vile. There's pushing the envelope and then there's jumping off a cliff. I don't even know if I want to continue the series. How can I love one book so much and then hate the next one passionately?
