I liked this book and in true Brandon Sanderson style, it was a crazy ending that I didn't see coming. But the YA in this book got to me a tad bit, it was a bit much than the previous books. I hope kids like it because it seems like it would be cooler if I was younger. Either way, I will finish out the series with the next book for sure. It has been a fun story thus far.

Ben bu seriyi çok severek okuyorum. Sanderson'un bütğn kitaplarını okuyacağım. Mutsuzsanız mutlaka bu seriye başlayın hep güldürmeyi başarıyor.

At this point, I have heard a lot of Sandersons books. For that reason, and this being his series meant for kids, I could see some of the things coming, thats why is not a 5 star book, even tho I loved it.
And the ending... what a Sanderson way to end a book!

I was frustrated through 90% of this novel as it devolved quickly and thoroughly into excessive filler - and not even witty excessive filler, just annoying, empty prattle. The first two books at least managed to work the commentary and diatribes into the plot!

However, the actual plot and content, particularly at the end - they are the underpinnings of a great little book! Finally, some satisfaction! And now I HAVE to read the final installment and hope it doesn't make me regret the decision!

In all seriousness, this novel seemed significantly more juvenile than its predecessors while also managing to be significantly less amusing. The book is worth 2 stars, but the saving of the book - and possibly the series - is worth 3. We shall see!

Family Friendly rated G: References to a character being beaten.

Sanderson has the most interesting way of writing philosophical middle grade fiction, which is not something I thought I'd ever say about middle grade fiction.

Another great Alcatraz book! I really enjoyed the out of order, arbitrary chapters and Alcatraz’s reference to them. I thought the Shakespeare quotes went on a little too long.
I’m not sure how this is going to wrap up but I’ve enjoyed the series immensely.
