This was an interesting book. I rather enjoyed the storyline and the action. I liked the slow build chemistry between Kierse and Graves.

This was a fun read! I enjoyed the combination of soft sci-fi and fantasy. The characters were charismatic, but I was unable to connect deeply to their emotions.
The magic system could have been further fleshed out despite being interesting. The writing felt also unpolished— the dialogue reminded me of Wattpad... lol.

So truthfully, I bought this book because of the spine. It was a gorgeous spine and I wanted it for my bookshelf. I had no idea what this book was about going into it. Right from the beginning, it pulled me in and I loved this book!
