dont misunderstand, the 0.25 star is because Atti is actually funny.

This book was horrible, btw, and its NOT because of the taboo thing, no. The plot and everything was trash ❤️

2024/1/19.

Okay I did not expect to like this as much as I did

I have to admit, I love a good taboo romance book and the tw!ncest thing is right up my alley but ??? Where was the feelings? The emotions? I feel like I read an entire book about two characters that I really don’t give a shit about. Atti was funny and cute but he was the only one with a personality. And there were no deep conversations, no actual “falling in love” at all. It was basically “let’s do naughty things and touch inappropriately for the camera” to all of a sudden “I’ve always loved my twin but now I’m IN love with him” ummm where? When? The reader didn’t see it happen, it just changed in a matter of pages and we didn’t see any of the falling in love part. At one point Asher is saying he wants to move in with Atti in their own apartment because he can’t “go any longer without him” but we never even got to see him upset that Atti was disowned. We didn’t get to see him pining and missing his brother at all. For identical twins who “did everything together” they just didn’t really seem to have a close relationship or a foundation for this kind of taboo situation to bloom.

When Atticus gets caught blowing a friend his parents kick him out now he’s gone from spoilt rich boy to broke and depressed . When he sees a job looking for twins to be the faces of a gay erotica novel he applies and get an interview now he’s just got to convince his twin Asher .
Absolutely loved this book Atticus is hilarious and at times I was laughing so hard he really does have a lack of brain to mouth filter 😆
There’s a bonus scene available on Nicky’s website I recommend you read that as well .

***Third Listen***
I will never be over these two, I still loved this as much my third time through, and I will always have a soft spot for Asher. That is all 😌

***Second Listen***
I was in the mood for something light and fun but also spicy, and I just had to listen to this audio again. I absolutely love Nick J Russo's performance of both twins, and this story is just so delicious and hilarious. I really loved trying to see what hints about Asher's changing feelings we get along the way, what with him not narrating at all in the story, and I just love how Asher becomes so insecure and needy and open with Atticus, it melts my heart.

Review:
Gah, I loved this audiobook so much! This book was such a fun read for me, and when I heard people rave about the audiobook, I got excited to listen to it. But oh boy, Nick Russo blew it out of the park. I loved the somewhat similar but distinct voicing and acting for the twins, I loved the humour of the story coming through with the voice acting, hearing the petulance of Atticus and the reluctant humouring of Atticus by Asher. I felt the banter, the twin-lepathy, the bickering and the reassuring was all so well executed. And then there was the smut, which was just so exquisitely acted out. This audiobook, to me at least, felt like it elevated the story even more, and I just love how alive it felt listening to it. I don't know if I can commend this production more, because it was just such a fun, spicy, sweet romp, and I just loved how much more the humour shone through because of Nick Russo's acting. Such a good audiobook, definitely in my top 3 for sure!

5++++++++++stars!!!

Glorious! What a great read! I loved the steadily rising angst and mounting sexual tension in this story. What a deliciously forbidden twist on forced proximity, bisexual awakening and self-discovery, so insanely hot and yet such an emotional journey too. Atticus is funny and just such a lovable drama queen, he brings the comical touch to this story and a little lighthearted relief in between the angst and scorching flames. Atticus and Asher are opposites, but they get each other so well and their love is unconditional, which really made me root for them. The strength of their bond is never in question. For as much as Atticus is the driving force behind their acting/modelling endeavor, it’s reluctant, balanced Asher who plays his cards close to his chest that in the end surprised me the most. My heart ached for him as everything he knew to be true about himself starts shifting and he grows to long for a seemingly impossible future.

This story is all over Instagram so I needed to check it out. I was happy to learn the audio version was performed by Nick J. Russo, he is amazing.

This story is of Atticus who comes out to his parents and is kicked out. He is desperate for money so he can finish college. He answers an ad looking for twins willing to model for taboo books. The author is over the moon for him so now he just had to convince his straight twin to do this with him.

Asher is straight but also very close with his twin and wants to help. He agrees reluctantly. What he finds is confusing af.

This story made me laugh so much!!! The writing is so good. Nicky James take a hot taboo story and gives it an interestingly different spin. It is a slow burn, high heat, witty banter, emotionally charged story. I am so glad I followed the advice and listened to this book!!!
