Oh my freaking godamdnnn...What did I just read? You know what I don't care because this was hot as f*ck!!!
It wasn't perfect but it was what I needed, low angst, hot taboo sex and a happy ending, thank you very much.
Such a kinky filthy story. I'm blushing I'm blushing again, I can't help it☺️
P.S. A big thank you to the author for creating Atticus. This crazy twink, who was incapable of keeping his mouth shut, was the funniest character on the history of mm romances. I'm just speaking the truth ladies and gentlemen

Identical twins Atticus and Asher come from a wealthy family who have disowned Atticus since finding out he's gay. Unable to pay his last year of school tuition on his own, he turns to the internet and stumbles upon a "wanted" ad seeking identical twins for a series of erotic photoshoots.
Safety:
• MM twin brothers
• no virgins but one brother has never been with a guy before
• both are into casual sex but Asher (the straight guy) is a pretty big manwhore
• NO OW but mentions of Asher fucking others in the past
• OM ish- one guy hits on Atti and Atti almost sleeps with him but doesn’t. Asher and Atti do have one scene where they fuck in front of others. Mentions of Atti fucking others in the past and getting caught for giving a guy a bj. He is living with a guy he made out with.
• versatile roles
• condoms used sometimes
• the manwhore (Asher) hasn’t even thought about being with other women after kissing Atti for the first time

This is my first book by Nicky James and I enjoyed her writing. I'll definitely check out her other books.
It's a taboo story, twincest, so definitely not for everyone.
I really liked Ash. I loved how caring, supportive and protective he was of his brother. But my heart literally broke for him sometimes, especially when he was having anxiety attacks, and I could literally feel his anxiety and suffering. I hated how he said no but his boundaries were still crossed anyways. And yet, despite his reservations and fears, he was still willing to be vulnerable and figure things out with his brother.
At first, I found Atti a little annoying because he seemed spoiled as heck. But pretty soon I started finding him so damn funny and adorable. He rambles when he's nervous and it was cute as heck. I liked both character and I was so into it for the first half, then things (rating) started going downhill.
At some point, Atti started coming off as extremely manipulative. In the beginning, when he was pushing Ash to do the filming even though Ash repeatedly said no, I thought Atti was just being a spoiled, but desperate brat. I could look past it, Atti was in a difficult situation after all. Then there was a scene where Ash literally broke down (the heaviest scene in the book, Ash's self-blame and agony was legit palpable), and Atti comforted him, but he still pushed to continue with the filming. Even before that, despite everything that happened, he was still like "is Ash gonna abandon me now?" Like, Ash was so tortured at that point that it made me mad how Atti was still concerned about the filming. Like, how can you even care about the filming at that point? But I tried to brush this off to, chalking it up to Atti being kind of oblivious and not realizing how much Ash was beating himself up.
I sort of brushed it off over and over (what does this say about me, ffs, I seriously gotta work on myself) until that point where Jay offered a deal to the brothers. Atti said "no" straight away (but somehow it still wasn't completely dismissive). Ash wasn't against it at first, until he was told something that he wasn't comfortable with, then he was like "no way, tell him we won't do it". Atti didn't do, and when Jay asked if they decided, Atti said "we'll keep you posted". Then he sent a message to Ash, telling him how they need to talk about it, and also: "I would have told him no right off, but now I don't know what to think since youtalked him up to 20k. That's a lot of fucking money. I'm not sure how to say no to that."
Okay, fair, I get it, Atti wants to consider it. But then, when they finally talk about it (when Ash brings it up), Atti says, I quote, "Ash, it's a stupid offer. I don't know why you're entertaining it" and that Ash isn't the one who needs the money, so Atti will say no and done. And then Ash gets determined and says he wants to do it for Atti.
And this happened few times. Basically, Atti says that Ash doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to, he comforts him, but instead of showing that with actions, he says things that come off as pressuring and then Ash convinces himself into doing it. So, that's why Atti came off as manipulative and it kinda ruined it for me.
Then, there's this weird sense of comradery between Atti and Jay. Jay behaved straight out rapey towards Atti, crossed boundaries even after repeatedly being told "no", and yet Atti was still all buddy-like with him. I hated how sometimes it came off as if Jay and Atti were looking down on Ash a bit. The last scene, whereAsh was bottoming for the first time in front of Jay and Dean, something that he was so nervous about, Atti made him come hands-free and was like: "If I wasn't still balls deep and aching to blow a nut, I'd have probably high fived Jay and Dean."
There, that "comradery" or whatever, even though Jay and Dean disrespected their deal even in that scene. Like, these two characters don't know what "no" means. And since Ash was doing all of this for Atti, he was being vulnerable and did things he wasn't comfortable with, includinghaving audience when bottoming for his first time, and Atti's reaction is to want to high five Jay and Dean? Like, it wouldn't have come across as that bad if he said he wanted to high five himself or something, for making it good for Ash. Idk, but it only added to this feeling of Ash being manipulated into everything. Like the three of them (Atti, Jay and Dean) managed to get him to do something, enjoy something he wasn't comfortable with but was doing it for Atti's sake. All while Dean and Jay are sitting there, watching and chuckling at Ash's reactions. Ffs.
And add to that the fact that Atti just kept saying, over and over, how Jay is hot, despite how despicable Jay behaved.
I hope I explained this well. So, yeah. There wasn't much drama in the story, which I appreciated. I absolutely loved Ash. I also felt sorry for Atti, because his parents literally threw him away for being gay, but as I said, some things he said/did just threw me off.
