Desperate times call for desperate measures. Even if that means becoming models for a twincest novel series. So, it was interesting that this was written in a single POV as opposed to jumping between thr two main characters like many books do. But I liked it. And I absolutely loved Atticus. He has a golden retriever energy and was absolutely adorable! And the sex scenes were so hot! This was the first book from this author that I have read and I'm promptly getting all the other taboo books available. Lol

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE ANNOYING WTF WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?

Wonderful book, exquisite writing.  Atticus was hilarious, Asher was such  a love.

This book was so much fluffier than I thought it would be! Idk, I hear taboo and I automatically prepare for dark, but this one was actually… super cute? I adored it. The characters are lovable, and the story is intriguing! Definitely check your triggers and suspend reality a bit, because it IS a taboo book and that may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Atticus ~ Asher

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 ~ ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 ~ 2024 Top Book

Atticus has been kicked out of his family and is in desperate need of money so when he sees an ad for twins to be cover models he applies and needs to convince his identical twin brother Asher to become the face of a twincest series.

WOW! Atti and Asher are everything. Asher is the straight jock type body and personality whereas Atticus is the gay lean twink variety. Even though their personalities are so different they are so much fun with their twin bond, banter, flirting, and smoking hot and undeniably explosive chemistry. Some parts were so emotional, that I was tearing up for the brothers.

I am not huge on singular POV, but even though we only get Atti's narration, and I would have loved Asher's, I still devoured their story. I have a feeling this will be a re-listen for me soon I fell in love with Atti and he has become a favourite character of mine.

This was my first Nicky James book and will not be my last.

🎧 Nick J. Russo was absolute perfection. He managed to make a single POV narration seem like a duet. I could feel every single emotion that both Atticus and Asher felt thanks to Nick J. Russo's narration.

“…Because you aren’t the only one who’s been feeling that way.” - “I feel it too.”

.

“No, it means gaining everything. You.”

….

Sweet baby… phew… how I love my lines being blurred, that is taboo for you and so damn well written ♾️.

Atticus definitely stoled this book - it’s his pov after all - characters like his are my kryptonite… but the way Asher was… you can go past him either 🖤. I need to get on these bonus scenes asap.

“As long as the scene ends…” // “I’m sure your underwear is boyish and adorable like the rest of you.” // “I should not have gotten butterflies from that. My skin should not have prickled.” // “Don’t do it.” // “There is a lot in it for you. You get to have my naked hotness all to your sexy self. There aren’t many people who can say they got a piece of all this.” // “They know they aren’t supposed to be feeling that way for each other, but … they can’t stop it.” // “Elliot had disappeared from my mind. I was Atticus and moaning like the little slut I obviously was.” // “End scene.” // “We’d shared everything for twenty-one years, including a womb. When he hurt, I hurt. He was part of me, and I couldn’t stand hearing such pain coming from my other half.” // “It was a smell I’d know anywhere and one that calmed me like no other.” // “It’s okay, baby. I promise not to say I told you so when you’re screaming and begging for more.” // “Look at me.” // “Action…” …

I’ve previously read a book by this other “The One that got Away” which I dnfed it (couldn’t get into it) but I really loved this one.

This is a niche genre for sure definitely not for everyone but I like reading it from time to time specially when I’ve been consuming too many hard hitting books, reading a fun taboo romance is exactly what I need to relax.

Although this wasn’t always fun it did get serious at times which made me love this book even more. Ash and Atti were so enjoyable to read about I loved their banter and compared to other books of this genre that I’ve read this one was way more realistic.

Asher & Atticus Charming are so hot. I read this book previously and was happy to listen to the audiobook this time. Nick J Russo did a great job narrating both twins. This book is set in the romance book world and does a great job of giving you some behind the scenes views of romancelandia!
