This first book is fast paced, the heat level between Erica and Blake is medium heat and their chemistry is off the charts. Can't wait to continue reading the next four books in this series.

I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. It's definitely a quick read. I started it around 2 pm 9/21 and finished around 8 pm the same day (that time includes working and the drive home and eating dinner too though sooo.) I did not want to put this book down, whatsoever.

This book is very fifty shades, so if you didn't like that series then don't read this series. This book does have a good story line. There's not too much smut. The smut to feels ratio isn't off (insert laughy face here.) I feel like the writing could've been a tad better at times, but people don't read these novels for their literary genius, so. Also, I HATE the use of the word cunt. It just doesn't go for me... Like, why though? That's not a pleasant word to use.

Other than hatred for that word, this novel was amazing. It was funny and entertaining, but also down to earth. I mean, yeah, he's a billionaire but the female lead keeps her head and doesn't care and it's not a huge factor in this story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Alles in allem Mittelmaß.

⭐️⭐️ 1.5 STARS ⭐️⭐️

This is me the entire time... sigh.

I kept searching any controlling streak in the male lead... I must have missed it?

And I was really concerned by the heroine personality... Schizo? Mood swings?

All in all, the blurb sounded appealing to me, but it fell short really quickly, I never connected with any of the characters, and the lack of environment description didn't help me getting into it. Side characters and plots were truly unnecessary.
I expected to be entertained, but this was really a boring story, typical billionaire storyline who get obsessed with a damaged girl.

I should have known this ship had sailed when I started skimming through the sex scenes...

This book is currently available at AMZ at the price of : 6.78$. Call it a very bad investment. :/

Characters were just kind of boring, didn't really feel anything for them...very flat. Made it difficult to root for them.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this book. I enjoyed the characters. I like that Erica is a woman who started her own company, and that she's ambitious. I even like that Blake is an asshole a lot of the time. I love that they bicker. It's just sometimes hard for me to follow stories where the characters lose their minds over good sex. It's just sex. I don't really think it should influence people that much- but I get this is fiction.
The two stars is really because I felt like the last 20 % of the book was a bit forced and even more far fetched. It was way too much that she met her father, who happens to be a politician and then the guy who raped her in college just happens to be her step-brother. That's way too contrived. I'm hoping that because this was just the first book in the series, later on we'll find out that her rapists knew who she was the whole time, and it's what prompted him to target her. I just don't believe that strongly in coincidence.
I am going to continue this series, the writing isn't bad. And you know I'm always willing to support any author who wrote a better version of "Dominant Billionaire with an obsessive nature falls in love with an equally crazy person" than ELJ. #NoIWillNOTLetItGo

Erica is a new Harvard graduate. She has started an internet fashion company. She is head strong and stubborn but this company is her baby. One of her teachers gets her an interview with company that funds start up companies.

Blake Logan works for the company that Erica is trying to get money from. Blake lets her now right away that he won't be the one who gives her money but he wants to know if she had a boyfriend.

They keep running into each other. Erica soon learns that Blake has been setting up these run ins. He sets out to find anything about her and get her to be with him. Will she give in even though she see him dating her as conflict of interest?

Blake doesn't give up easy when she tells him she can't see him. Blake is intensely protective of Erica. How will she handle that? She is used to having complete control in her life? Will his protectiveness drive her away? Will she learn to deal with it?

I have seen a lot of reviews that compare this book with Fifty Shades. There are a few things alike but I enjoyed this way better than Fifty Shades.

Okay so I actually loved this? I feel like the pacing was good, the characters were fully fleshed out, and there was a really good mix of the romance with other relationships in the book. The main characters are both flawed but it wasn’t anything that was annoying, more that it was things that made them more personable, especially Erica. Really looking forward to the rest of the series!
