I like Dan Brown a lot. Didn't like this one as much as DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons, though

This was my least favorite out of Dan Brown's books. I still enjoyed it though.

Great novel.

Not nearly as good as his other books. Everything gets wrapped up in a happy little ending - I think Dan Brown lost his momentum here. I have read all the Langdon books and have enjoyed the others much more than this.

I forgot just how engaging Dan Brown's books are. He had me googling and fact-checking the book every two minutes, thinking "this has to be made up", but of course, he uses real facts as a base.

The positives:
-The book is interesting, a page turner
-There are multiple plots and plot twists so you won't get bored
-Even with all the science talk, it isn't overwhelming

Negatives:
-The plot twists were a bit forced. Quite a few times have I murmured "How convenient for them" when a problem had a fairly tale-like solution.
-The 4-5 main storylines constantly switching might be interesting for most people, but for my brain, it was too much. Just when I get immerged in a story, a sudden cut-off dips you into the next one, like plunging in cold water. Unpleasant.

Overall, a fun, sciencey book that'll make you feel smart, but obviously not up to par with the Da Vinci code or Angels and Demons.

I’m sorry that I could give this book only 5 stars. This was the best book I’ve read in a long time. It makes me reevaluate how I’ll rate books in the future.
