Disappointing because there was way too much description. Very hard book to follow.

Yaaay ! A women as a main character, what's not to love about it ?

After "The Da Vinci Code" and "Digital Fortress," Dan Brown was 1 for 2 on my scorecard with the former being well-paced enough to be an enjoyable read and the latter being a frustrating waste of time. After reading "Deception Point," I'm never reading anything else by Brown ever again. As someone who's worked at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center for 15 years, I can now see why scholars and experts were critical of "The Da Vinci Code." It seems he makes a habit of doing minimal research on an interesting topic and then putting his own spin on it, regardless of how inaccurate the book ends up being. What little time I have in my day that I can devote to reading needs to be better spent on good books and not on dreck like this.

I adore Dan Brown.

Deception Point is a wild ride that keeps you guessing. I dove into this one because I'm a huge Dan Brown fan, and it didn't disappoint. The blend of political intrigue and scientific discovery had me hooked from the start. This book is a great testament to Brown's ability to weave a compelling narrative. Loved every moment of it!

Another engaging thriller from Dan Brown into the murky world of Politics and on this occasion NASA. Yes Dan’s books are essentially all the same but, I still always enjoy them and I enjoyed this one in particular as it didn’t seem as drowning in droning passages of academic facts and figures as some his others. In this book several experts are assembled in the Arctic to prove the authenticity of a meteorite found encased in the ice. But, this is not just any meteorite, it is one which could change the course of history and indeed the race for the US Presidency. White House intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton and celebrity scientist Michael Tolland end up on a gripping ride of mistrust, danger and hammerhead sharks (yes really). I really enjoyed the characters here, the charismatic scientists and the sleezy politicians included.

Classico intrattenimento alla Dan Brown, in cui vado avanti per vedere come va a finire. La storia, però, non mi ha preso granché.

Good, quick read to get back into the habit
