GREAT fun. perfect summer read.

Not for me.

We dig into Dan Brown's work in this episode of the All the Books Show podcast: https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/episode-77-spotlight-on-dan-brown

Yeah, I'm a sucker for these. I don't read them often but when I do I'm always amazed. Dan Brown is just on the good side of bad: he can keep doing his thing.

A good read

A very thought-provoking storyline that's full of unexpected twists. It was a good read with a surprising antagonist. Lots of heavy detail that has me wondering about the possible validity of some of the writer's research on NASA, space discovery, & marine ecology.

Why do I keep doing this to myself? Why have I read all of Dan Brown's books? I don't know, they are dumb and they make me laugh. This is not as bad as Digital Fortress, but yes... it is hot garbage.

Even though I'm not a complete Dan Brown devotee, I have to give him credit: this novel featured a lot of very strong, charismatic females in pivotal places.

Dan Brown writes a good story, but in my opinion, the dialogue leaves a lot to be desired. I don't like how there's always a kickass woman and she immediately falls in love with some guy who is so strong and blah, blah, blah. The story is very entertaining though.
