Deception Point

Dan Brown

3.5 AVERAGE

Pretty decent~ I wouldn't recommend just buying it without reading it first.....

As much as any Dan Brown book can be considered 'good', this rates slightly below Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code. If he'd learn to write, he'd be unstoppable.

in my opinion this book is full of suspense and excitement. I've already read the langdon books which I see as a guide for reading this book. of course, some conspirancy theories may not seem as realistic as some people wish them to be. my impression is that people who dislike Dan Brown as an author tend to dislike his books in general. especially the plot twists caught my attention (in a positive way). I couldn't put Deception Point aside. looking forward to Origin!

Probably Brown's second-best book. It read like a Michael Crichton novel at times, which is a compliment.

One thing that bugs me about Brown's writing is that the person pulling the strings behind the conspiracy is always easy to identify. The only book that had me fooled was Angels and Demons.

Dan Brown knows how to write a book.

This was exhilarating. Highly recommend.

NASA/ political thriller that is action packed till the end. It’s a classic Dan Brown book and exactly what I needed after some slower novels.

Slightly better than The Da Vinci Code.

I love Dan Brown but never read his 2 standalone books. Picked this up at a book sale and thought I'd give it a try. I loved the concept from the beginning and it's told in Dan Brown's signature story telling by switching perspectives. I loved it. It had a fairly predictable ending and didn't leave me in tears so it doesn't quite get a 5 but it's close.

I was shocked that this book was being called "bestseller". Argh!!! What a waste of time it was. No wonder it wasn't getting published until after his "Da Vinci Code" became a success.
