Dan Brown is an expert at a thriller plot that feels pretty grounded in reality to me. The characters on the other hand fall flat to me. The most interesting one was the assistant to the villainous presidential candidate. It felt a little real though. I wonder sometimes if Dan Brown’s ever had a conversation though, the way dialogue plays out.
Truly unputdownable! Gripping and lucid narration! My fav character being Dr. Corky Marlinson. Scientist with pride (as they are usually found to be), witty (my fav attribute of his) & childlike with presence of mind. Loved the book. Enjoyed it thoroughly and it definitely has something in the dark to be unraveled till the last page.
I love Dan Brown books. Love them. Very exciting, fast paced thrillers with controversial subjects as the driving plot mechanism. It’s fun. It’s thrilling to follow along. Until this book. It was good until the end and that’s where the author lost it with me.
Too unbelievable even for fiction.
I gave three stars for the excellent writing and for the fact the story started out strong and kept me engaged. I just wish the climax of the story had matched the rest of the book.

Thankfully this was fast paced otherwise i wouldn’t have finished it. Dan Brown’s books are quite repetitive in plot. They are entertaining but definitely not that well written.
I have questions left unanswered. The ending felt cheap and didn’t thread throughout the novel at all. The love story was weak. The characters weren’t loveable.

Enjoyed this but not as good as Da Vinci Code. Can be slow
A real page turner, but in need of serious editing. At 736 pages, this book is at least a third longer than it needed to be to tell the story effectively. And at least one major plot turn (when the villain suddenly switches from who we've been lead to believe to someone else) is completely contrived. That is, it's not fair to the reader when everything in the story points to one person as the villain, and without warning we learn that it's been someone else all along.
Quick moving book! His books are typically like that. This is only the second book of his that I have read and I see a lot of similarities in the layout/plot as the first book. Overall good mindless reading.
