It was a solid read. Typical novel well written but nothing extraordinary or that I would remember to recommend so it’s probably a 3 but I don’t mark Black authors a that low unless it sucked this book reminded me of Queenie maybe it was the main character but this main character definitely had more depth than Queenie and was more likeable. Overall the book was average-I don’t regret the time spent reading it, it was an easy book I read in completion on the flight back from Paris so a nice memory
