Second story by Dr. Seuss that my kid read. She is familiar with the film, but as we live in Spain, Dr. Seuss is not as popular as he is in the US. When she was younger she didn't have the vocabulary to understand it fully and how, that she is 12, she has enjoyed it a lot.

Do I need to say anything more? I don't think so.

Me encanta que el Grinch acabe acercándose a la Navidad por mucho que la odiase y la robase.
La Navidad no son solo regalos, es estar rodeado de la gente que quieres.

And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?
It came without ribbons! It came without tags!
"It came without packages, boxes or bags!"
And he puzzled three hours, `till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store.
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"

Another Dr Seuss tale that broke my heart..

It could be his head wasn’t screwed on just right.

It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight,

But I think that the most likely reason of all

May have been that his heart was too sizes too small

The grinsh hated Christmas because he couldn't relate to the artificial things that came with it, it's heartbreaking to see his transformation from the nasty creature in the beginning to the loving sharing one in the end.. All thanks to figuring out that Christmas was all about loving & sharing.. The tree & gifts are just extra

I'm so in love with Dr Seuss's worlds!

Hits the spot on Christmas eve.

A charming story about a grumpy creature learning the true meaning of Christmas. How Christmas brings people together and creates a loving community.

A fun and charming Christmas tale that I should have read a long time ago, but I'm happy that I've read it now.
