At the humble age of sixteen, I am most definitely not the target demographic for this book, however I wanted to read it SO BAD and I am so glad that I did!
This tale is quite frankly a classic children’s Christmas story. It is just such a good time to read about and is quite simply heartwarming.
I strongly feel that this is going to be a tale that I will regularly return to when I need some festive cheer. :)

The Alexa app in conjunction with Audible currently has three Christmas books that customers can listen to for free (until Jan. 3rd), and this was one of them. The narrator is Walter Matthau.
This is one of my favorite stories ever. I loved the book as a child, I love (and still watch) the classic cartoon narrated by the great Boris Karloff. Mr. Matthau's narration felt a but rushed and flat compared to Mr. Karloff, but the story is such a beloved classic that it didn't really lessen my enjoyment any.

Walter Matthau’s reading of Seuss’s Christmas classic is fine, but unexceptional. And hearing it without the delightful songs Seuss wrote for the TV special just feels like I’m missing half the experience. I think I’d rather listen to an audio recording of the 1966 special; Boris Karloff’s narration (and voicing of the Grinch) is entirely superior to Matthau’s, plus that would include the songs, all for just a minute or two more in duration.
It is a classic and it is my favorite Dr. Seuss book to read myself and to read aloud as well.
