I really wanted to like this book and love the formatting but unfortunately it has too many problematic perspectives (ie views on bisexuality, sexuality, centering of a white cis male in which all other identities exist to aid/serve him). Maybe some may think it’s not that deep but as a queer poc, I also recognize this was probably not written for someone like me.
I also just didn’t like the personality of the MC (selfish and self serving with little regard for those around him, weaponized incompetence) - so it’s also hard to get through a book where you don’t like the main voice. I did love J though, and hung in there for him (ML).

I vibed with this one, hard.
DNF'd cuz it just felt so fanfiction-ey in a bad way. The cheating was whatever and I didnt care too much about the moral gray-ness of that aspect but there's just something I cant stand about the way Raphael looks at Jaehyun. Its too fast too soon. But also, consantly describing the Asian character as delicate and soft etc etc etc puts a bad taste in my mouth. It almost seems asian fetishy at times and it icks me. This book is for the kpop stans who have zero/weird boundaries with their biases. As a kpop fan, i fucking hate those fans deeply so this book, which is clearly catered to them, isnt for me. I'll try again another time, maybe. But for now, its not happening.

I was so obsessed with these two from page one (and i mean they are my new personality-type of obsession) i didn’t expect this book to be THIS good and the reason why i didn’t give it 5 stars
The ending was chaotic and so .. overwhelming? The last 7 chapters.. What the fuck was that? And why? A lot of things were unnecessary and they added nothing to the story but i overlooked them
Overall a very fun read it healed a bad slump would definitely recommend!!!!
(p.s chapter 29??? We got robbed)
