It was sooo slow, no thrill. Audiobook just played in the background and I zoned out

I did not predict the ending which was satisfying for me. I enjoyed the point of view of Richard and his childhood memories strewn throughout the narrative.

Loved the writing style. Was convinced this was all a true story. Long winded and repetitive tho.

I’m not sure I could live through this without developing an intense case of main character syndrome.

(Actually listened to the first half on audio and have to say — I was actually a big fan!! It really read like a fictional true crime podcast.)

Was unsure about the narrator, would have liked more in print. Excellent true crime fiction.

I hate to say I “love” true crime so more appropriately I’ll say I’m “interested” in true crime. This book borders on “did this really happen” or wow no way this happened I would have heard about it. The author does answer those questions at the end! Overall an entertaining read that left me guessing the entire time.
