such a beautiful book that dives into the life of Priscilla being thrown into Elvis’s world. getting to read her point of view about her life with Elvis was so beautiful. she still has the love and respect for Elvis but it’s interesting to read when she talked about the hardships and the moment when she became her own person.

This is now my new comfort book.

If you’ve ever wondered what Elvis was like, read this book. Actually, I would suggest listening to it because Priscilla reads it and it’s fascinating. She will reflexively giggle at things that are actually  horrific (Elvis had a tendency to SHOOT his TV if a program offended him). Just a reminder that Elvis was a grown man when he met Priscilla, then a lovely 14 year old living in Germany with her military parents. Sometimes reality is more dramatic than fiction, and when you’re a pretty teen dating a grown but deeply emotionally immature global musical phenomenon, with mobile hips, a jet black pompadour, raging control issues, and various pill addictions, reality is a rollercoaster. Have fun listening!

This book is written well and I love Priscilla. I however do not like how young she was when Elvis met her and started their romance. It’s ick
