Gostei muito de ver o Noah novamente e as participações dos personagens dos livros anteriores, mas tirando isso não gostei de nada desse livro, esse casal sem sal, chatos e o plot não me interessou...

Hate To Want You
4.5 Stars ⭐️
I went into this book with ZERO expectations because I thought I’d hate it based on the crushing disappointment I felt reading the twins’ books and also because unlike most people reading this series, I gave absolutely no fucks about Archer. To me, Archer was just a gluttonous drunk and a waste of space and he added no enjoyment to me in any of the other books but I had to read this because I wanted to be ready for Thomas/Aiden’s book in January and I figured with all the shitty books I’ve read recently, what’s one more? But now I have to eat my words and all my comments on my friend’s reviews where I bitched and moaned about this author are going to make me look like a hypocrite because I have to admit how much I adored this book. No, I didn’t just like it, I fucking adored it because what all the reviews left out was how much my favorite couple was featured in this book and having so much of Noah/Adam from Unhinged mixed in with Archer’s adorable emotional word blurtage and Mac’s seriously hot dirty talk did something to my brain and I resent that because now I have to my eat my words and if anyone knew how much I actually talk, they’d know how impossible that would be for me.

I sort of skimmed most of the romance parts to get to the payback/torture parts, but I liked what I did read. I’m really just waiting for this Aiden/Thomas finale, especially after that epilogue. Fingers crossed it will live up to the expectations.

It's no secret that I'm addicted to this series, and Archer and Mac's story was another chaotic, entertaining ride. I'm still recovering from the reveal that Archer isn't the laid-back drunk he presents to the world, and his actual occupation was so freaking cool. This book definitely threw me into Archer and Mac's relationship in a way that none of the other books in this series have, and while at first I was unsure about it, I grew to love the whirlwind. Steamy hookups, love bombing, and accidental marriage were just a few of the things in store for this couple, and I was highly entertained by their push and pull. I'm incredibly curious about Project Watchtower, and while it wasn't a big focus of this story, I'm so excited about the upcoming spinoff. Plotline wise, I thought the unknown bad guys hunting Mac made for a fascinating story to unravel, and as always, the Mulvaneys rallied to help take out some of the grossest human trash imaginable. I loved the Mulvaney family drama and shenanigans, and it was exciting to see the way this family adopted Mac into their fold and included him in their missions. All in all, another solid psychopath romance that blended all my favorite elements of Onley James's writing together!

No, no, no, noooo. I’m so upset. What the hell was that? I’m so upset.
Archer was my favorite Mulvaney after Adam since the first book. I have been looking forward to his story more than any other, and it was just… blah. Boring. I’m literally so close to tears wondering what happened.
First of all, so many of the first few chapters were dedicated to Onley James’s other series. There was the obvious Elite Protection Services plug, which didn’t work for me because that series was just meh. The only book I really enjoyed was Shep and Elijah’s. So while I was excited to see both of them, and Molly Shepherd, and I was thrilled that Mac was the love interest, everything else was just annoying background noise. I hated Jackson, and I barely tolerated Linc, so I really didn’t leap for joy to listen to either of them again. And then there was obvious set ups to The Watch series, trying to establish those storylines. It just made the first ten or so chapters a chaotic influx of information and character baiting.
And then there was Archer and Mac’s relationship. I wouldn’t have minded the frenemies with benefits trope, or the drunken marriage trope, but both of them together didn’t work for me. Especially since Archer and Mac were just immediately like, okay, yes, this is fine. Like I know Onley James doesn’t believe in slow burn but I would’ve appreciated the tiniest amount of angst.
Then there was the whole Archer lying to everyone thing. It completely changed the dynamic of the Mulvaney brothers. I know he patches it up, but it still just messed with everything. We barely saw the other couples, except Adam and Noah. And a tiny bit of Asa/Zane and Avi/Felix. But my favorite thing about this series is the whole family coming together and it was lacking in this book a lot.
And then there was the plot of the book. It was boring. Predictable. Super similar to Psycho’s plot. There was barely even any spice, and this was a couple whose relationship was initially only sexual in nature.
I am so disappointed, and I’m heartbroken about it. I mean, all the other books were 5 stars so I can’t really be that upset, except I am because I was rooting for my baby Archer and we got this bland, watered-down character who barely resembled our sarcastic, sexy pirate. UGH. And Mac was just kind of there, he really didn’t add all that much substance.
I am crossing all my fingers, toes, arms and legs that the last book brings it all back. If Thomas and Aiden disappoint me, I might actually have a mental breakdown.

I don't need to read it in order to know that it will be everything I need and more. I'm in love with the writing and the plot of the whole series and I know this books won't disappoint.
I just read the first chapter and I love it. The character development is going to be one of the best, I just know it. And the crossover is everything I've needed in my life. This family is my comfort zone. Love it.

I read it and i loved it. I love the chemistry between the characters and I can't get enough of the family relationships and the way they interact with each other. I loved the appearance of the characters from other series and i just can't get enough!!
