I was planning to give this 4 stars bc two additional insufferable characters but- DANG IT. We have another dragon who’s basically have emotions of 14 years old and how Sam and Kevin bonded with him is hilarious and overwhelmingly soft. 
Romance in this top notch too. Valid arguments happened but neither of them were childish in this rs. Again very wittily, smartly written.

The plot is good, the characters are adorable... when you get there. But man, the jokes and rambling that started out hilarious and cute in the first book get pretty stale after hundreds of pages.
