A great addition to the series. Definitely going to continue reading the next few.

I never expected to say this but I love Ryans face ((sigh)) and this story. So many things are happening and I'm anxious to find out what's in store next for this crazy lovable group of characters.

As a person, when I love something like a tv show or a book series, I tend to get through it very quickly. For example, the first time I read the All For the Game series by Nora Sakavic I read all three books in three days, and they were weekdays so I really should not have had that much time considering I had A Levels to sit only a few months later. The point is, when I started The Lightning Struck Heart I told myself I would try to space it out at least a little bit, and it kind of worked, it was about a week after finishing the first one that I picked this up, but I am now thinking this might be a lot more difficult than I originally thought.
While I did not love this book as much as the first, I still really enjoyed it, all of the characters were their normal (not really), wonderful selves and this time HaveHeart was canon for the entire book!! I also thought Zero was adorable, and I cannot wait for Sam to fully embrace him as his son.
Basically, if you loved the first book, this has all of the best parts of it, and although there was less of the super in-your-face humour, I was still constantly laughing. Though, if there is one thing I would say, its that I really wish Justin had been in it more, but hopefully that will be something to look forward to in The Consumption of Magic, which I'm sure I'll read sooner rather than later.

Gah, I love these books so much. So much humor I'm usually in tears laughing, but when Sam turns serious badass, it's a wonderful sight.

it felt like a really long shitpost

Although I didn't enjoy this as the first one, I loved the storyline and the changes the characters had to face in order to pursue their destiny.
This series will always be my guilty pleasure.

Definitely darker than its predecessor, but still remained light thanks to its over the top sense of humor. Slow to start, but once it got going I was hooked. I liked the plot of this one better than the last book, but more jokes fell flat in this installment.

Also, Zero? My favorite character so far. No one let him get ahold of 2005 Pete Wentz.
